William L. “Bill” Sullivan

Listening for Coyote: A Walk Across Oregon's Wilderness

Wild Arts Festival Book Fair enthusiastically welcomes back William L. Sullivan, author of outdoor guide books, histories, and fiction. Bill’s featured book this year is 100 Hikes: Oregon Coast. Meanwhile, his The Ship in the Ice, the fourth and final book in his Viking Saga, a series that describes the Vikings’s voyages to England, Greenland, North America, and Ukraine came out this past June. An historical novel, Ship is a compelling tale with chapters alternating between dramatic Viking sagas and actual archeological excavations. Bill’s famous hiking guides are the “go-to” books for anyone interested in exploring Oregon’s (and SW Washington’s) natural spaces. A few examples are 100 Hikes in Southern Oregon, 100 Hikes in the Central Oregon Cascades, and 100 Hikes in Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington. You can meet him at the Book Fair on Saturday, December 7th. Please check the official signing schedule published by Bird Alliance of Oregon in case changes before you head out.
