Tim Hallam
Photography
Tim Hallam is a full-time nature photographer and workshop instructor based in the Pacific Northwest. Born and raised in Mount Shasta, California,Tim has known the outdoors as a part of his life from an early age. Seeing great vistas, hiking the trails, camping in the forests, swimming in the rivers, and climbing the mountain all surely had an influence on him and it was only natural to try to capture and share these moments and places with friends and family. Though he had a long-standing interest in cameras, it wasn’t until his high school years that the digital camera market really started to take hold, and in 2006 at the age of 15 he bought his first used digital SLR, a Canon D60 with a whopping 6.3 megapixels. From the start, nature and landscape photography was his main area of photographic interest.
In his later years of high school he attended a local community college where he continued his love for photography by taking black and white film classes where he got to experience and use one of the last operational college darkrooms in the country. Later, Tim moved to southern Oregon which was closer to home and family as well as the outdoors where quick and easy access to nature was possible. From 2016 on, Tim has been able to pursue his longtime passion for nature photography full-time and it has been an amazing and constantly evolving journey ever since.
You may have seen his work at the Lithia Artisans Market in Ashland, Oregon where he displays my images at the weekend art show or hanging in various venues in Southern Oregon and Northern California. Tim also exhibits his work at several large art festivals each year, primarily along the west coast. Work available includes: fine art nature, landscape, and wide-field astrophotography. 5X7 giclee quality greeting cards up to 40X60 limited edition ChromaLuxe aluminum prints.
