Meet the Artist
Sue Coccia
Drawing/Painting
Sue Coccia works in pen & ink (Micron pen) and acrylic paints on watercolor paper. She starts in the center and works her way to the outer edges, drawing in environmental elements and aboriginal symbols relating to the main animal she is drawing. The drawings depict animal totems from around the world. Animal totems represent a deep spirituality, and by beginning to understand animal's qualities and traits, we can learn from them. Sue has been a professional wildlife artist since 1996. A portion of sales will be donated to organizations dedicated to the preservation of animals and their habitat.
Traveling around the world inspires her, and she hopes her art inspires compassion for our planet and all of its inhabitants. She enjoys her family, meditation and the artistic process. Also, she is an avid gardener, and a black belt in TaekwonDo.
