Shailer Tuell
Woodworking
From an early age growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Shailer Tuell has been drawn to the landscapes, shapes and sensations of the natural world. His curiosity has evolved through different forms of creative exploration and ways of engaging with the flow of Life. What he most enjoys and finds inspiration in these days is finding ways to convey a sense of wonder and reverence for the world of form and the underlying energy, spirit and imagination that runs through it all.
Shailer’s work is hand formed from a variety of wood types, some of which is salvaged or repurposed. He enjoys creating an alchemy of shapes and patterns by also incorporating other forms of nature such as air plants, lavender, stone, fossil, shell, copper and wood burned designs made with a handheld pyrography tool. Each piece is finished with a non toxic natural oil blend.
