Best Little Book of Birds: The Cascade Range and Columbia River Gorge
The Wild Arts Festival welcomes back Sarah Swanson to present her work: Best Little Book of Birds: The Cascade Range and Columbia River Gorge. Pocket-sized and approachable, this book of common birds in the Cascades and Columbia River Gorge features identification options through not only appearance, but sound, habits and migration as well. Compact and easy to reference, it compliments her previous Best Little Book of Birds: Oregon Coast. As a birder and native Oregonian, Sarah encourages nature goers to protect birds and their environment for future generations. Sarah has been a part of Bird Alliance of Oregon (formerly Portland Audubon) in a variety of roles since 2006, and she is currently our Event Manager. She has a BA in Biology from University of Oregon and a Master’s of Public Administration from Portland State University, and is deeply connected to our local environment, both professionally and personally.
