Joe Wilkins

The Entire Sky

The Wild Arts Festival Book Fair welcomes award winning author, Joe Wilkins. His new novel, The Entire Sky, exposes with strength and poetry the unjust pain of toxic masculinity and the profound damage it wages on children. The story ultimately leads to a different scenario for manhood that allows for gentleness, acceptance, and grace which the reader views within the exquisitely described breadth of the Montana landscape. The unforgettable novel is both beautifully written and deeply touching. What a wonderful book! Joe also wrote the critically acclaimed novel, Fall Back Down When I Die which won the 2020 High Plains Award and was a finalist for the Pacific Northwest Book Award. In addition, he has written a memoir and four collections of poetry. Joe did win the Oregon Book Award in 2017 for When We Were Birds. This past April, he became a 2024 Oregon Career Fellowship recipient. He lives with his family in McMinnville, where he directs the creative writing program at Linfield University. Meet Joe at the Book Fair on Sunday, December 8th. Please check the official signing schedule published by Bird Alliance of Oregon in case of changes before you head out.
