Jennifer is a contemporary Oregon artist known for her vibrant, nature-inspired paintings, often influenced by her Pacific Northwest surroundings. Trained at the University of Washington School of Fine Art in Seattle, Jennifer received her BFA in Painting in 1992 and teaching certifications from Western Washington University in Bellingham in 1995. An established acrylic painter, often inspired by nature, Jennifer pushes the boundaries with her latest work where she combines her painting experience with printmaking and collage techniques. Choosing to create with oil paint and collage materials requires a thoughtful, more meditative approach in the process as each piece is slowly planned, layered, and incorporated into a new work of art. Materials often hold more meaning as their source can be very personal, often using vintage books. This new series of reverse-painted glass art also represents Jennifer's desire to be more thoughtful with material choices and use of resources while honoring her favorite bird and botanical themes. The methods used to design these pieces also allow Jennifer to provide economical price points, customizable art, and fun new additions to her art product lines - including temporary bird tattoos and coloring books.
