Putting a contemporary spin on the ancient art form Intarsia, Ashley transforms reclaimed wood into one-of-a-kind nature and landscape designs. Each piece is hand cut by scroll saw and shaped according to the composition, giving consideration to wood texture, color, and grain. Some pieces are torched and wire brushed to add luminous texture. Some pieces are formed by various hand tools and touched with hand painted acrylics, water color, or stains.
