Bald Eagle receives wing wrap

Dec. 31, 2013: In mid-December, we took the Bald Eagle from West Hayden Island in for a CT scan, but the results didn’t show anything that explained why the bird is having trouble using her right wing. Portland Audubon veterinarian Deb Sheaffer has since wrapped the wing – hopefully, immobilization will lead to some signs of improvement.
