Explore the newly acquired Chehalem Ridge Nature Park, 15 minutes south of Forest Grove. The 1,200 acres forested park,  purchased and restored with public funds from Metro's natural area bond and local levy, protects water quality, wildlife habitat, and access to nature for current and future generations. Originally a commercial tree farm, the forest is being actively restored through thinning and provides a great opportunity to see how a forest can be brought back to health. This trip focuses on the work to restore habitat and the long-term plan.  As we explore the coniferous and mixed woodlands we are sure to find a nice assortment of birds.

November 18 (Sun) 9am - 4pm

Leaders: Erin Law and Micah Meskel

Free!

Limited to 20 participants.
