March For Science

Join us as we team up with other Portland-based conservation groups to march together to show support for science at the March for Science in Portland on April 22.

Science plays a crucial role in protecting the health of our communities, the safety of our families, the education of our children and the foundation of our economy and jobs.  Strong science is the solid base that informs Portland Audubon’s advocacy efforts, policy work, and our outreach helping us effectively move forward our land protections and conservation work in the Portland metro region and across the state.

Now is a particularly important time to voice your support of science.  Science, scientists, and evidence-based policy-making are under attack at the national level. Budget cuts, censorship of researchers, and threats to dismantle government agencies harm us all, putting our health, food, air, water, climate, and jobs at risk. It is time for the public to take a stand! Please join us for this free, family-friendly event!

EVENT SCHEDULE :
10 am -11 am, Rally with inspirational speakers in Waterfront Park
10 am - 3 pm - Science Expo and Kid Zone in Waterfront Park
11 am - 12:30 pm - March through downtown
11 am - 3 pm - Live music and entertainment in Waterfront Park
